Recommended potting mix for hoyas

There a lot of different potting mixes for hoyas. You can get as complex or as simple as you want. A safe potting mix based on my experience would be:
25% - 50% organic (peat, potting mix, coir)
50% - 75% in organic (pumice, perlite, lava rock, charcoal (usually 5%) bark, turface, etc)
You would use more organic in the mix if you grow your plants in a dry and hot environment and less organic mix otherwise. It also depends on if you're an overwaterer or underwaterer. I'm an overwaterer so I like 25% coir to 75% inorganic mix.
I personally use chunky perlite and bark on the bottom inch of the pot. Then use pumice, bark and coir as the general mix. Then have a top half inch of coir on the top which is used as an indicator to let me know when the pot needs to be watered as the coir would change color.
It's important to not let the coir touch the stem of newly transplanted cuttings and it may be too wet and may promote stem rot.
This setup has worked for me and I hope it works for you.
